Residents of Leigh Place celebrated Mother’s Day in style this month.
Festivities included a wonderful high tea, with cakes, tea, and sparkling wine. Our residents received individualised gifts aligned with this year’s pink and green theme.
The day provided the Leigh Place community with an opportunity to reminisce, laugh, honour, and celebrate the wonderful mothers and mother-like figures in their lives.
As part of the day, residents discussed the origins of Mother’s Day in Australia, and the background to the current day gift giving tradition.
CEO, Joe Azzi, noted that Mother’s Day provides a unique opportunity to celebrate residents and the other “everyday superheroes” in our lives.
