Messages of support and comfort hanging from the ‘Tree of Friendship and Solidarity’ for our residents; Lifestyle & Community Engagement Manager Simone Lucidi explains this is our way of connecting with the outside world.
“Sometimes, all we need are a few positive words to get us through a tough day.”
The leaves have been hand-drawn or created digitally. Messages include ‘Missing my great grandmother Mardi’, ‘Walking can help you feel better’ ‘Missing you mum and dad from all the family.’
The Tree of Friendship and Solidarity, sometimes known as the ‘lockdown tree’ has provided creativity, colour, joy, hope and a sense of connection to the residents at Leigh Place. Thank you to all the team who worked on the tree project.
